The New Boy and the Zoo

A new boy draws a zoo, but he makes fun mistakes.

Leo goes to school for his first day. He does not speak English. He feels sad on the big floor.

Mia sees Leo is sad near her desk. She smiles and draws a cat on the board for him to see.

Leo wants to draw a dog like Mia's cat. He draws four legs and a tail, but he leaves out the ears.

The other kids laugh a little and clap their hands. Leo puts his face in his hands and feels very small and shy again.

They decide to put all the drawn animals together on the board. They draw a lion, a monkey, and a giraffe on the big board together.

They finish their picture zoo and it looks very funny to all of them. Leo smiles a big smile now, because he made a new friend who likes his dog picture.
