The Red Fox and the Mitten

A little fox finds a red thing in the snow.

The snow is cold and white. The fox walks in the trees. He sees a shiny red thing on the ground.

The fox picks up the shiny thing. It looks like a berry and it is soft.

The fox goes to the tree where the owl sits. He shows the red thing and says, "Look at this!"

The owl says, "I do not know." The fox walks to the tree where the squirrel lives. He shows the red thing and says, "Look at this!"

The squirrel shakes his head and says, "No, this is not a nut." The fox walks to the tree where the deer lives.

The fox sees a little girl near the tree. He picks up the red thing and gives it back to her.
